New coaching search thread

Miller has never had success like Forbes has. He's also never had a P6 job, while Forbes has had 2 (receiving recognition specifically for his recruiting), plus worked as an assistant to Gregg Marshall. Miller's been in his role for forever, and has been to one tournament.

Not sure I understand how Forbes' success quotient is so much higher than Miller. Miller had to build the UNCG program from nothing (they were 7-24 the year before he got the job), and it did take him awhile to build a winner, but over the last 4 years UNCG is 104-34 (57-15) and ETSU is 106-31 (61-11). UNCG has had one NCAA invite and 2 NIT invites, with the possibility of a 3rd NIT invite this season before the season was cancelled. ETSU has had 2 NCAA invites (counting this year) and one CIT invite. Head to head, Miller is 6-4 over Forbes over the past 4 years.

You can say Forbes has been more successful, but it's very close.

Forbes would have had his team on the at-large bubble this year had they not won their conference tournament.

Wes Miller teams' highest KP ranking was 82. In nine years.

I’m guessing this is clickbait

"Clickbait"

The 247Sports Director of Basketball Recruiting dropped in the two candidates he believes are finalists and also indicated a couple names who AREN'T in the mix right now. Evan Daniels is credible and has good sources throughout the college basketball landscape.

How could Bilas or any other player think we as fans could've not been against Manning with his W/L record. I get that player/coach relationship is different and special, but I don't care how much the players liked him or whatever, he wasn't getting his job done.

Forbes has multiple stays at P6 schools and was an assistant at another that finished the regular season undefeated. UNC-G is the highest level Wes has coached at so far.

Turns out winning is fun. It's too bad Bilas didn't get to experience that.
