Old School Nintendo Game Thread - Game Open - Day 123 Ends at 1:30 PM EST

Northern - kid icarus - vanilla civ - dead

You are kid icarus, hero of angel land. You arent in angel land anymore however, so you will be vanilla. You win with the town

Oh man so many comments. Good job last day Nonny even if the Redwing hit wasn't great. VERY interested in seeing all the roles for balance purposes.

Civ MVP's: Redwing for tiebreaks, TiC, Mafia 2

Civ LVP's: Literally almost everyone? One of the worst games I've ever seen a collective group of civs play (and we still got beat). JTP, manning, knight, rocket, timdunk the last couple days....what the hell? The JTP play plus the group refusal to lynch an obviously lying manning for several days in a row will both go down in history as some of the biggest WTF was actually going on moments.

Mafia MVP: Northern...not close basically everyone else was terrible.
 
GG civs. Thanks for running Tejas. Glad the town could overcome some pretty meh mason play.
 
I see no reason moving forward not to simply make up a ridiculous claim day 2 or 3 and then just keep making up new shit to add on to the role so I can ensure I make it to end game like manning.
 
- Baby Mario (civ whiner) - nonny
You were the loud mouthed baby of Super Mario World 2 (or more appropriately named Yoshi’s Island). When Yoshi would lose you, you would cry and scream to be rescued. In this game, everytime you get three or more votes on you, you must complain about it in at least two posts and then not post again until someone calls you a civ (or something similar). Failure to do results in your death. (Only applies once per day: meaning if you get 3 votes, it goes down and get 3 again, you dont have to whine again.) You win with the town

A big powerful villain, you are now on the good side and want to help the heroes to victory. However, you are wary of the fellow civs. If you are voted out, it will be read that the lynch has failed and you are still in the game. You will join the Mafia team that had fewer people vote for you. If those numbers are equal, you will join the mafia team that does not have the night hit that night, but will only be told the name of the Mafia godfather (or top remaining mafia member if the godfather is dead) and not be able to communicate with them. The mafia will know that you have joined their team.


- Orpheus - manning
You were the star of Battle of Olympus, and you collected snake skins to help you on your journey. In this game, you will get one snake skin for each night you stay alive and one extra snake skin for when you help vote a mafia member out (but you do not get credit if a cop reveals his investigation that leads to a lynching). If 3 snake skins were collected, one could get immunity for one night. If 6 were collected, one could learn the character and alignment of one player (your skins are gone moment you choose one). You win with the town

Seems like a weird person to be stating other people played poorly.

Interested to hear thoughts on balance. That civs could vig 3 of their own, miss on every protection, and still have an extra lynch makes me wonder

Civ MVP was GM. QT honorable mention. Manning so clutch down the stretch.

Calling it bad play to not lynch him is all the butthurt.
 
Well played, Northern. You went hard on separation from townie and ryala and those moves were almost enough to get you the win.

Game needed an Indy I think. Or 19-6-6

BUt it also didnt help that both mafias lost watcher/tracker in first two days. Or that maf 2 never used their own vig

My options day one were 1) take a 66% chance I survive or 2) self-preserve and/or claim watcher. Seeing that Doofus made it to like day 7 before getting any serious heat, option 1 seemed pretty good. Hell Rommy even "cleared" him on like day 3 for how he "played the end of day one" even though Doofus posted like once in the last half hour.
