Perhaps criticism of riots is a tad more valid coming from a man who was jailed multiple times in civil rights protests and literally died leading a world wide civil rights movement, than you. Imagine Dr King's chagrin had he heard you lecturing African Americans about how to conduct themselves after being lynched, raped, hosed, jailed, and attacked by police dogs. I'm sure he really would have appreciated your help keeping negroes in line.
 
It took an otherworldly charisma, talent, and effort for MLK to transfer so much energy and pain into a non-violent social movement, and every AA who was involved deserves a world of respect. It's outrageous to speak about non-violent social justice movements as if they are expected or deserved. The fuck they are. RJ if you're so goddamn offended by violent protest then go lead a fucking movement and convince people, like Dr. King did, to put down their arms. Otherwise you're just being an ignorant entitled shit, as usual.

So, using his own words to prove the dishonesty of your using his words TOTALLY OUT OF CONTEXT doesn't make it with you. You are absolutely no different than RW extremists who disgracefully take quotes out of context. You are equally as full of shit and dishonest as they are.

Durham was super peaceful from 6-8:30 (when I left). Cop cars blocking the streets with about a 50 yard buffer on either side, no actual cops in sight (just the cars). Hope it stayed that way.

This is as good a place as any to bring up how icky it feels the way whoever runs the @durhamnc instagram page is posting about the protests. I know we are a progressive city, and the IG page is a very small part of the city government, but it feels very gross for the system to be praising the citizens for how peaceful and calm they are being while they protest the system.
 
Welp, if you had "a sitting US Senator advocates for murdering American citizens" and "the President violates chemical weapons treaty to make a campaign ad" on your 2020 bingo square, then you're in luck!
