What is the best dessert?

Wow, surprised to see the bread putting love. Seems like a lot of people hate it. But there's this warm bread pudding made with bourbon, peaches, and golden raisins (served with vanilla ice cream of course) that might be my #1. Warm salted caramel brownie way up there too.

Best dessert I ever had from a restaurant was a pecan cobbler with 'nilla ice cream at a BBQ joint off I-75 somewhere south of Knoxville. For a simple, serve at home dish, I'll go with Haagen Daz Rum Raisin.

I don't dig raisins in my desserts either, but they don't send me into a rage like biting into a beautifully dense and moist brownie only to discover it's got fucking walnuts.
 
I mean I get if you don't like shortbread cookies. It's basically all butter. I love me some shortbread cookies and I love pecan sandies. Textural contrast is great. I don't need everything to be one note.
 
The most important root in Pecan Sandies is "sand."
 
high end cake is very good, but the mode cake is not great

if you find yourself among a lot of low tier cakes, get the carrot
