When you encounter homeless people in RVA you aren't getting the best and brightest... That's all I'm saying
A homeless person who isn't appreciative of what you give them.
Dude asked me for some money since he "just got outta prison yesterday and trying to get back on his feet"... I didn't have any cash and he said "I'll take a gift card"... I said alright man, here you go..and I gave him a Walmart gift card I've had for a few months that I'd probably never use... He said "what the hell am I supposed to do with this?".. and he scoffed and walked away.
Calling him a homeless nerd is the friendliest way I could think of describing that interaction.
This happened to my mom recently. She was vacuuming out her car and a homeless man walked up and asked for some money. She had no cash but had about $10 in change in the car & gave it to him. He looked at her & said “are you serious?” And walked away unhappy.
we do the state and/or city discussion biannually, but my state -- Illinois -- is underrated terrible because my city -- Chicago -- is so great
city of broad shoulders and puts the state on its back, but there is barely a single redeeming thing outside the city of Chicago and I usually forget I live in this state
I guess at least it doesn't vote GOP in the presidential elections ever so that is enough to qualify it as a top 40% state in these broken-ass United States these days
A question for the doctors/scientists here- If they can make weed into an effective spray product. Why can't they do that will Covid vaccines?
hey TWMD is fibromyalgia real
my old roommate who is a doctor basically broke up with his long term gf after they had a big fight about it because she was pretty sure she had it and he insisted it was a fake disease
(this was 5+ years ago)

Bruh, Chicago fuckin' blows when you stack it up against other cities in the US.
it's interesting that i wouldn't want to visit or live in either of OH or NC's queen cities
Spot on. Hell, it might not even be a "where's the best place to spend a week" thing, but maybe, "which states have the highest capacity to host multiple one-week trips?" Really, the short answer is that we live in a fucking amazing country with a shitton of one-week tourist options.

Agreed. So which states aren’t worth a 1 week trip?
ND
SD
KS
OK
IL? (Is a week in Chicago too much?)
IN
MN
WI
PA? (I guess you could split your time between Philly and Pittsburg)
CT
DE
GA?
