That's a pretty fascinating read and also alludes in the chat to Wake firing Dino.
Dino really was a good recruiter and apparently he did the same thing at Louisville. Just not great at some of the other stuff.
Gotta admit that Mack secretly recording Dino was a very clever idea on his part, considering what Dino knew, having someone charged with federal extortion for threatening you with your own violations is quite the reversal

Except that Mack will continue to be employable as a basketball coach. Dino may be able to coach middle schoolers.
Sure. That’s true. Plus Mack has a season or two left on a multi million dollar contract so even if he never works again after Louisville he’ll be fine. I just think Mack is the asshole here. If I am an assistant coach looking for a new position I definitely won’t be working for Mack.
Yeah, but Dino's now largely unemployable in college basketball, even for TV. I'll venture to say this isn't the end of possible fallout for Mack.
A lot more. Mack makes $4 million a year. 6 games is about 20% of the season. Using that formula, Mack is out $800K. Even if the pay reduction is half that, Mack is out $400K. Clown show.
Isn’t Dino 65? He’s made pretty good $ and showed be fine if he managed it well.
Alright. Dino is out of b-ball. Wellman and Hatch are gone. It’s time to get the real story on Dino leaving WF. It obviously wasn’t so bad that ESPN wouldn’t hire him as a no-name b-ball analyst. They wouldn’t take that risk if it was something super serious.
People who have money still want to get paid.

It has to be the incident in the hotel room in Miami after a ACC tourney loss involving two players and a groupie. When the girl and her mom went public, it got a lot of national attention. Had to be mortifying for Dr. Hatch. May have been smaller incidents along the way, but that was likely the final straw.
Didn’t all of that come out after Bz was hired?
I can't believe people are still rehashing the Dino firing as if there was nothing on the court that merited trying to get a better coach.
