Official 2021 College Football Thread: Grass Picker Named to CFP Selection Committee!

Kentucky and Ole Miss for sure lose. 9th right now, and still able to pass OSU and ND (Might pass ND even if they win?)

That Houston dude got his 9th career return TD.

These lower ranked teams losing is good for us because Virginia can get back into the rankings by beating BYU.

SMU returned it to the 34 with 7 sec left. They'll get one or two shots at the endzone.

UVA not holding up their part of that bargain right now, down 21 early.

Yeah. I should have checked the score before I posted that. Wow.

State just wrapped it up with another TD.

Hartman now +4000 (10th) on Draftkings Heisman odds. Might change further as Stroud, Riddler, Henderson haven't had great games.

Yeah, but if UNC collapses and finishes with 4 or 5 wins some of their recruits may jump ship and they spiral downhill for years. Bottom line is if Wake is undefeated we’re in the playoff and if not, we’re not

I doubt they'll lose any recruits even if they finish with a losing record. Mack is not much of an in-game coach, but he can definitely recruit with the best of them. The problem is that his teams still often underachieve even with all that talent, yet that talent rarely leaves and he continues to pull in highly rated recruits. He's lucky to have that one national title, and that was more due to Vince Young having a game for the ages rather than any great coaching on his part. My own guess is that they'll continue to bring in lots of talent and will continue to fall short of expectations pretty much every year, because Mack is a mediocre game coach at best and his UNC assistants aren't any better.

I think the unknown is what the transfer portal will do to Mack brown coached teams. Especially is they make moves they should by firing coordinators. Mack hasn’t really coached in the transfer portal era.
