CBM: X-Men '97 finale; My Adventures with Superman S2 May 25; The Boys S4 June 13

I went out with my son and tow of his friends to see The Batman movie last weekend. Pleasantly surprised.

It seemed to be more of a Detective movie, then any sort of traditional Batman movie (at least from the ones I've seen). I thought some elements of the detective portions reminded me of the Hannibal movies (Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon), and/or Seven.

I think the suspense portion of the Detective work was a big selling point, and unfortunately, I'm not sure how much of the re-watch value will be left in the movie once people see it the first time around.

Thoughts on The Batman deleted scene where Batman goes to the Joker to get his opinions on The Riddler?

Interesting design of Barry Keoghan as The Joker. I'd be interested to see him next movie.

A little too much like Silence of the Lambs with Clarice going to Hannibal

It was a decent scene. Glad it was deleted. It would have been a distraction in the film and added to the bloated feel. I don’t need to see another Joker. I hope he stays in Arkham going forward.

At home sick rewatched the Nolan trilogy and I definitely still prefer it. One part about the story that I really appreciated is how it explains the existence of Batman’s arsenal and vehicles as top secret military research, and weaves that into the story with Lucious. If you appreciate world building, I think Nolan’s trilogy is the best iteration. As a straightforward pulpy detective story then Reeve’s might be better.

Holy shit that movie was way too long, way too boring, and way too dark. Y’all liked it? Oof.

Moon Knight was ok. Probably would have helped to premiere a second episode.

Hard to say. They didn’t really show violence in the first episode. I get why they did it but it was a poor decision thus why they needed a second ep.

Surprise surprise, Morbius sucks - 19% RT.

I love all things marvel and have zero desire to see morbius.

Yeah, this is looking like the worst comic book movie of the modern era (15 years or so) according to Metacritic. And that includes before they started essentially grading them in their own comic book vacuum.

Every two years Sony makes a Spiderman movie with Marvel Studios. It does well then Sony convinced themselves any Marvel film will do well.

They pushed back Morbius from January so it wouldn’t be overshadowed by No Way Home and be out of the omicron surge.

Leto is #1 on my list of "why is he a big deal? " celebrities. Apparently he was laughably bad in the Gucci movie.

Motherfucker thinks he is a DDL level method actor when he actually sucks out loud.

Seems like a by product of a ton of women who liked him on My So Called Life.
