don't @ me means i resist the rhetoric of open-mindedness and don't care about yr thoughts on this issue

It’s snowing in Ohio. After my hour drive I don’t feel like I missed much having never been here before.

I tubed the Pidgeon river at like 3500 CFS hammered drunk one evening. I DO NOT recommend doing that.

the black mountains (according to that link) are between boone and asheville, so literally nowhere near cashiers or highlands. Balsams are closer but still, your original assertion of multiple 6,000 foot peaks surrounding cashiers is completely inaccurate.

Black Mountains are in the Pisgah nation forest slightly northeast of Asheville but nowhere near boone.

There aren't really any 6k peaks in NC that aren't near the Tennessee border are there?

Asheville is cool and has lots of breweries and cool restaurants and the Biltmore, etc... But I am always annoyed when people act like it is a NC mountains town - it is not. It is at like 2000 ft or something and is full of transplanted hippies and foodies and city folk and the like. Don't get me wrong, I like Asheville but just be clear about what it is - a cool town in the foothills that happens to be in NC and that attracts people from all over.
