the military has mandated all sorts of other vacccines and/or medical treatments way before covid too, that's part of what they also sign up for.. can always resign from the job.
 
alright well you all make better arguments than I did last weekend. Up until a week ago I didn't think paralysis was an actual thing from it.
 
imo if you are a victim of death or difficulty by seatbelt (read: vaccine) your problem is with a higher power (luck) and not the government that forced you specifically to do so since hundreds of thousands (if not more) have been saved through that action.

unless you're just against state power/ violence in toto.
 
i feel like the ratio of ppl helped/problems created is so stark that we don't even need to call up a utilitarian to solve the trolly problem here.

Right, some historians argue that one of the reasons we won the revolutionary war was Washington mandated the soldiers get a small pox vaccine and the Brits were all getting sick.
 
Bros, all those military vaccines were tested, the COVID vaccine was just some spare chemicals that Moderna had laying around the office that they mixed together with aborted stem cells and cooked in an instant pot

as a lincoln project republican, I find it astounding how many formerly reasonable people (and people that I have always thought were intelligent) have completely lost their sanity over the last few years.
