Doesn't matter if you're gonna make the tourney (and win it) anyways! Let's just go undefeated so SOS is fodderUConn's opener this year was against #331 Stonehill.

You can have several of them as most teams do, you just have to perform well and make sure you schedule enough difficult games too. Perfect early season game, way better than playing Fairfield or someone random.337th in KenPom. Not gonna help ye olde SOS.
Possible that they could at least get into a Q3 situation though, so if they're one of the worst teams on the schedule then that works out ok. Can't have more than one more Elon type.
Actually, our worst stat was "luck". We need to work on improving that.looking at the final kenpom stats - our defense was awful this year
similar to last year - we didn't create enough turnovers. our defensive 3pt% was 35%, good for 247th in the country. gross.
on offense - we seem to get our shots blocked a lot.
Wake needs to aggressively schedule home-homes with potential Q1 OOC opponents both for NET and the home schedule. Another season of a below bubble team playing a weak home schedule is going to lower excitement for the program.Seeing early to 25 lists and Q1 opportunities are going to be far & few between. Rinse & repeat.

to be fair - kenpom had uconn #4 overall going into the tournament; he got that one rightThe tournament just shit all over Kenny Pom Pom, his name and metrics should be banned from the boards.
