Northwestern Athletics Scandals

They’re already being televised on ACCNX. I don’t see much difference.
There is a pretty substantial difference in the staffing/costs/infrastructure needed to put a linear broadcast together vs. a streaming-only broadcast.

Maybe for a football game. But I doubt there would be much difference for baseball, soccer, etc.

They've got enough empoty space on ACCN that they don't need to broadcast volleyball games that no one watches on an other channel.

That’s their decision. It’s empty space because they won’t broadcast live events, not because there aren’t events to broadcast.

They’re being paid tons of money to get creative. It’s literally their job.
It is their job but there's only so many things you can do. It's why they went out and got Ally putting in more money in with women's sports, new revenue sharing, using outside voices to find new revenue. The ultimate truth right now is there isn't really much they can do until the rights come up outside of win games.

...The NW sports programs are somewhat big time, but they don't rule the campus, the local area or the state; the City of Chicago is largely ambivalent about whether NW sports are good or terrible. Students don't mind exposing dirty secrets about the NW athletics program and can do so with little fear of retaliation; in fact, they will likely find protection and support among the many on campus that resent that so many resources are devoted to athletics...
Uh-0h. That sounds like another school that I'm familiar with. :D
