Wrote this up on BSD today. Wanted some thoughts on it and how close it seems I am to the actual truth. May be off on a few backups, but think I have the starters close to right.

Should generate good discussion leading up to the Spring Game as well.

Looks as accurate as you can be at this point without a crystal ball. I think we have a good deal of talent. If the offense continues to struggle this year than Lobo should be shown the door.

I am disappointed to hear Godfrey still has yet to impress. I really thought he would be a good OL once he had time to settle into that position. He certainly has the size, and you would think he has the athleticism having played TE.

That's just weird seeing Weaver, Looney and Hoag as SRs. Seems like just yesterday we got their commitments (Godfrey on the other hand must be 30).

^ yeah, gotta echo those sentiments. Makes it all the more frustrating to hear that the line is struggling. With so many upperclassmen on the O-line, you'd think that would be a source of hope. Hey, it's only spring, we'll see how they look come August.

Just updated a couple of things.

Primarily I received word that Givens has moved outside and Camp is the guy now at the FL spot. Scooby is backing Camp up, and Dembry is backing Givens up.

We very recently had a very experienced O-line and it didn't work out well. Experience has not been the problem at those positions.

Great work by BSD. I'm tagging it as a "good football thread" so we can remember to come back here during the rest of the offseason.

I'm VERY nervous about the offensive line, yet again, for next year. Besides Looney, I'm not encouraged by any of the players. Hoag is probably the guy I'm second most confident in, but I don't know about Garrick at center or if Godfrey is gonna be ready to contribute.

I'm not sure if any of y'all have ever talked to Doug Weaver, but he is an absolutely ginormous human being. I've heard he is doing well too.

We will never have a good offense as long as Lobo is calling the shots. This is his ninth year, and we've still never finished in the top third of college football in either scoring offense or total offense under him.

I can't find the numbers I did, but in terms of average rating each year, we're around the 70-80th best offense in the country over his time at OC.

Don't have them worked out for every team over the time period (which I assume is what you're referring to), but here are our yearly rankings.

2010- 109 total offense, 91 scoring offense
2009- 41, 66
2008- 101, 95
2007- 93, 58
2006- 96, 78
2005- 68, 71
2004- 76, 93
2003- 76, 50

He sucks.

OMFG. Only 1 figure in there better than 50th.

seriously let's find an offensive identity and stick with it and recruit towards it. those stats are depressing.
