MBB Game 21: Syracuse Orange at LJVM - Saturday 7:45 - CM Network

Does KenPom say why we play like shit on the road?
Majority of college bball struggle on the road.
Kansas 2-3
Arizona 3-3
Sparty 1-4
Duke 4-3

It’s not ideal to lose after having double digit 2nd half leads, but the goal is to steal a few roadies and defend the Joel. I still see Wake going 10-0 at Joel while hoping to find 3 on road. BC, ND, & GT being most likely. I’m

So you’re not expecting to win in Atlanta with a chance to be top 25 in Kenpom before hosting State?

Lots of positives from last night’s game:
  • team bounced back strongly from (another) demoralizing road loss.
  • Cam played his most efficient basketball since the wrist injury and even hit a three.
  • Boopie looked like he regained some of his swagger and was both aggressive and productive.
  • Damari looked a bit more mobile than he did at Pitt.
  • curiously, marsh played 13 min (Keller DNP) with 2 pts, 2 rebs. 2 steals and 2 blks and he generally looked pretty good.
  • only real negative was the 14 turnovers, several of which seemed to me to be unforced or just bad plays.

Tired of the other teams struggle on the road excuse. If the goal is to steal a few road wins and it is so hard to do that, don’t you think when you have double digit leads on the road in the 2nd half, you better take advantage of them? I can handle losing at FSU, they played well that game. I can handle losing at UNC after being up one at half, UNC is very good. Losing on the road to a mediocre State team up 10 with less than 10 to play and losing at Pitt (mediocre at best) up 12 early in the 2nd half and totally collapsing is poor. If winning on the road is so hard, you better take advantage of those type of opportunities or it will bite you. Great job getting a blowout home win last night, go get a win at Ga Tech, 1 point win or 29 point win I don’t care, and I’ll give Forbes and the team some credit. Until then, winning at home and losing on the road just means you”re a .500 league team and that gets you a ticket to nowhere.

Really big negative when trying to win on the road.
