MBB Game 26: Pitt @ WF - Tuesday 9pm - ACCN

There were a ton of things to like tonight but the three that caught my eye the most were:

1) Cam’s tenacious D
2) An increased focus on the lob pass and/or a quick drive and dish vs driving too deep
3) Reid’s impressive clear out screens on several drives. Marsh had 1 or 2 as well.

NET matters and Wake will move up from 40 after tonight's win. The knock on Wake is lack of Quad 1 wins (1-6 in Quad 1 games with only win over Florida at home). Tonight's win is a Quad 2 win (which may be why Lunardi was dismissive), moving Wake to 5-3 in this quadrant. There are 3 remaining Quad 1 opportunities on our regular season schedule - home vs Duke and Clemson and away vs Virginia Tech. Really need to win at least 2 of 3 to reduce the "lack of quality wins" diatribe.

Somebody must have found the keys to unlock the tapes of lob passes from Appleby to Marsh from last season.

Sorry. That was me just getting annoyed at the announcers saying Pitt was ahead of us for tourney consideration.
