The Bubble

I understand the opinion that Wake needs to win 3 ACC games to get a bid, while I personally think there’s a world where 2 is enough I understand if you disagree.

But I think you’re crazy if you believe 3 wins isn’t enough. If Wake beats UNC they are 100% in the field.

What about wins against GT, Pitt, FSU and then a loss to Syracuse in the finals? Because as strange as this season has been, I'm fully expecting a weird tournament.

If the semifinal is not UNC, yeah things could get weird

I am not seeing Indiana St. making it as an at large if they lose this MVC championship game. A really bad NCSOS, and their best win is what... a home win over Drake? A road win over Bradley (their only Quad 1 win)? Lost handily at Bama and Michigan State, which isn't bad on its own, but that's it for anything worth a damn on their schedule.

Metrics love them.

Drake is way easier for a committee to leave out. Half their Q1/2 wins are against the same team and some bad Q3 losses. Also in the 40s for NET

Feel like it would help if we had the same record but were were a seventh seed. If our second ACCT win was against Duke or UNC, I think that would be enough.

I would like to understand how Indiana State is rated so highly in the NET.

They are 15 spots behind WF in KP

They are 4 spots behind WF in Torvik

They have three wins over Torvik top-100 teams (two vs Bradley, one vs Drake)

They are 11 spots ahead of WF (one spot ahead of Clemson) in the NET going into today.

Whatever the secret sauce is in the NET…they juiced it. Good for them.
