Correct; it was awesome!!! I remember road-tripping up to that game; hung over as balls. Had to stop a couple of times in order to puke, but it was totally worth it.

Think that Virginia Tech has never won a NC in any sport.

Believe that the Hokies are the only ACC school without a NC as the following schools have won NC in at least the following:

BC - Ice Hockey
Maryland - Mens/Womens hoop, men's soccer, Football
UVA - Men's/Women's Lax Soccer
UNC - Men's/Women's Soccer, Men's/Women's Basketball/Lax
State - Men's hoop
Duke - Men's hoop, women's golf
Clemson - Football
GT - Football
FSU - Football, Track
Miami - Baseball, Football
 
don't we have a women's tennis singles one or am I making that up
 
I know Tech has a women's tennis title within the last couple of years.
 
Bea Bielik played for the Demon Deacons from 2000-2002, earning singles and doubles All-America honors every year and winning the 2002 NCAA Singles Championship. She was named the 2002 ITA and ACC Player of the Year and was also the recipient of the Honda Award.
 
Well if you're only gonna have one title in anything I guess winning it in men's basketball is good (State)
