I've never heard of Hanky Panky either... I'm intrigued! I usually do the 5 for $20 or whatever it ends up being at Victoria's Secret too.

Come on girls! Even I've heard of Hanky Pankys. My impression is that they are horribly overpriced and really, how do you reinvent underwear? It's like me trying to market a new type of bread.

unless you have an interesting taste in fashion that you haven't told us about, you will never understand. but seriously, hanky pankys are lightyears ahead of all other underwear that i've ever tried (noted: i have not tried everything). i truly can't explain it. i don't know how they do it. but they are amazing.

I find this hard to believe, but to each their own. I hope you are getting them on sale :)

I'm with TW - I'm not sure I could ever justify spending that much on undies. I don't have many issues with mine to begin with. I just got some white boy shorts for my wedding but I'll probably be-jewel them myself.

they're definitely expensive. no doubt about it. there's a reason i still have plenty of other types of underwear in my drawers. but they really are amazing.

There is a men's underwear shop that just opened around the corner from TWtoy's apartment. I haven't been in there, but it looks expensive and I'd assume its something like Hanky Panky.

Most of my boxers are from Gap or American Eagle. They work well for my needs. My only expensive underwear are compression shorts.

I'll check out the website tonight just to see what they are, but chances are I'll end up sticking with VS and their 5 for deal. We'll see...I might have to surprise 1297 with something new. ;)

i hope not. that'd be...awkward.

personal question for HP wearers- do you prefer the thongs or boy shorts? i tend to like boyshorts/a little more coverage on a day to day basis, but not if they're going ride up on me. I'm guessing that the thongs are quite comfortable, too

@awar: i feel ya on not wanting to spend a lot... but I'm not a big fan of VS (it never fits me quite right and isn't comfortable to me) and i want some big girl underoos. it's a $20 experiment!

i have never tried the boy shorts (although in other brands, i really like boy shorts). i bought HP specifically because i had invested in some new dress pants for work and they fit a little more closely than my old pants, so i needed something that wouldn't show panty lines at all. but i really like the thongs. i've never been a huge fan of thongs from anywhere else, but HP's are great.

don't tell me these things! while i am not a real shopper when it comes to normal work or everyday clothes, i have a serious spending habit with my running clothes. i can't spend anymore!

me too... I definitely spend more money on running gear than pretty much anything else.

I went into it thinking it was an affordable sport, but I don't let it be affordable, what with $12 socks and $140 shoes that last like 4 months and all the gear, and so many expensive race entry fees...

Skirtsports has a couple different styles that are either more or less covering, depending on your preference. I find them to be pretty lightweight and more all-around flattering than other brands. Plus, there's not a really harsh waistband.
I also have a Brooks running skirt that I adore (also no harsh waistband), but it's definitely shorter than these are. It has 2" inseam spanks underneath, most of the skirtsports ones have 4" inseam spanks under.

somehow the thought of you running in a skirt is even less likely than me running in a skirt. so it amuses me that you wear running skirts.

maybe if the San Fran expo has some skirt vendors, I'll try some others on.

running is only cheap if you 1) don't run that many miles, and 2) don't race. once you get into racing, and especially when your mileage is so high that your shoes are having to be replaced more often than every two months, it gets PRICEY. thankfully, running clothes actually last a while. but they're expensive to buy at the time!

I prefer the thongs, but that's bc I hate vpl and bc I am so used to wearing thongs. I don't think I have worn anything else since middle school!

Ruelala is a little confusing at first, but is awesome. I am a ruelala, gilt groupe and hautelook addict. I am also a designer clothes addict, so that helps me justify it a little more. I basically buy for quality- I am a fabric snob more than a label whore and I can get some amazing things on those sites for a fraction of the price.

Well if they really do NOT have lines/pull in on the sides like everyone here is saying, then they may in fact be better than sliced bread. It would be worth it to me to try 'em out!
