What a load of crap!!

Have to show us who you are to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

But it's OK to hide who you are when you exercise the "free speech" of trying to buy an election.

HMMMMM....

What the fuck are you talking about? There are extraordinarily stringent campaign finance regulations that require the reporting of donors of amounts over $100.

The GOP stopped the Disclose Bill which would make it law for SuperPACs and other PACs would have to disclose their donors.

Superpacs pretty much suck. Can't believe that both sides won't agree on this point.

Has anyone noticed how a multitude of RJ threads magically appear while Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow are on the air?

Hows do we possibly know if the money Adleson is putting into the campaigns came from the US or is from Maccau?

Because of nondisclosure, foreign entities can influence US elections with their money.

If our citizens are collectively stupid enough to fall for glitzy commercials then we get what we deserve. Which is why we are getting what we deserve with the current buffoon.

Oh by the way, funny thing about the the Disclose Act, unions are, of course, exempt from the provisions. Damn you Koch brothers and damn you George W. Bush!

It's a pretty simple concept. Those with power & money want to be able to use that power & money without restraints or limits in order to consolidate their power and make even more money.

It's called "The Republican Way".

Correction. It's called the "power & money" way. It's surprisingly uniform across party lines.

Unions should have to disclose as well. Secret money is bad money.

Of course you take RW talking heads over facts. The League of Women Voters says you are wrong.

And the actual verbiage of the bill

"The bill text says, “Any covered organization that makes campaign-related disbursements aggregating more than $10,000 in an election reporting cycle shall, not later than 24 hours after each disclosure date, file a statement with the Commission made under penalty of perjury” that discloses what expenditures were made and who donated to them.

“Covered organizations” are defined as “Corporations, Labor Organizations, and Certain Other Entities” that expressly advocate for the election or defeat of a clearly identified candidate.

So under that language, any group that hits $10,000 cumulatively in an election disclosure cycle must file a report—whether it’s the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity or the Service Employees International Union."

Completely unintelligible. But I'll tell you, I don't know when that LWV FAQ was put up, but the amendment that exempts unions was slipped in less than a week ago.
