Blitch to UNCC

I know a lot of the players work with Camp's brother but I just thought it was an outside of Wake deal. Didn't know there might be a problem with the coach there.

He'll be missed!

2006 and 2007 lines were good imo.

Not to the level of those first two seasons. In those first two seasons, the OL went out and won games by punishing the other team, moving the chains, and leading long possessions. Obviously the Komeback at Kenan is the lasting memory of this line. Subbing in the entire second team and keeping the pressure on. Julius Peppers on one knee during the last drive.

In 2006 and 2007, defense won games. We struggled to move the chains late in games which forced the defense to make great plays to win the game.

Really? I didn't know that tidbit. footballmom42 gets more and more awesome.

and she was on the dr. phil show because she was banging a former NCSU coach who was married. i believe i have that story right.

This has become a perfect example of how a player's dad should compose himself on his son's school's board, and how one should not. Kudos to the anti-RULZ.

And here's another person who feels sorry for Daniel. I have no doubts that RULZ was a major contributor to his quitting, either directly or indirectly.

She also asked a poster (infrequent poster) for $$$ (and big $$$, not just a hundred or so) and got pissed at him when he said that was inappropriate.

What's the story there?

She once challenged me to a fist fight for asking her why her son refused to block for Ben Mauk.

I don't have any details. Just hearing through the rumor mill that a number of the OL worked with an outside conditioning specialist, someone who has ties to NFL conditioning routines and exercises, and that all of this started after both Blitch and Heartsill hurt their backs.

I may be wrong but I believe Heartsill's back problems either started before he got to Wake or not soon after. Pinning them on Wake is shaky causation at best. Now time for me to speak up for wake s&c: Coach Reeve's program is tested, proven, and if anything conservative imo. I have absolutely no prob with anyone wanting to workout with a personal coach in the offseason but to imply that they are somehow causing injuries in Manchester is bullshit. I've coached before (never football) but one thing that stays the same is parents and athletes want that quick or sexy program... Whatever is the big thing. Maybe they could do a better job instilling confidence in there but players will always want X guru who promises them the world and gets them awesome beach bodies. There aren't any curls for the girls at Wake or fluff exercises being done in the weightroom... Which is probably what they want. Stupid shit. Most personal trainers are just trying to make a buck. Reeve has them do the meat and potatoes. Of course what usually happens in coaching is the athlete forgets all about the time they spent doing the meat and potatoes and attributes their success to all the cable flyes their new trainer had them doing. Please.

Calhoun.

Oh, and I get your point. Surprising line hasn't been as strong since - even with the nfl guys we've had.

I won't disclose the poster, but in the "discussing Wake Sports....openly" this is what I can tell you. She struck up a friendship with an occasional poster and they sent a lot of emails back and forth. She said she was hurting for cash and knew that he was well off and just flat out asked him for multiple thousands of $$$. He told her that he thought that was going over the line of their relationship and she got pissed at him for not giving her the cash.

I think that ended their friendship.

Lobo was the OL coach during those years. I think the difference is that we went away from cut blocking to a more traditional blocking scheme.
