What say you, Pit?

My top 5:

Dave Chapelle
Robin Williams
George Carlin
Louis CK
Aziz Ansari (had to include a current guy though to be fair, he's probably not on my top 5 and Richard Pryor would take this spot)

Honorable Mention: Mitch Hedberg, Chris Rock, Sinbad, Seinfeld

Dave Attell was best I've seen live. I don't care for Seinfeld's stand up, wouldn't even put him in honorable mention.

Jerry Seinfeld's "I'm telling you for the last time"

lolz given the prior comment

I really enjoyed seeing Doug Stanhope a few years ago - pretty abrasive, but I think he's hilarious. I'm also a big fan of David Cross although I haven't seen him live.

Gonna go only current

1) Jim Jefferies
2) Louis CK
3) Bill Burr
4) John Mulaney

For those that haven't heard Mulaney, his "best meal I've ever had" and "why I don't drink anymore: fuck da police" are amazing.

Right now, there's Louis CK and there's everyone else.

That said, I love Bill Burr and Jim Jeffries. Also a big fan of Greg Giraldo and Hedberg, but obviously they don't have any new material.

I like some of Chappelles skits more than his standup, but both are on point. He's incredible.

True Hollywood Stories might be the best thing I've ever seen, the black white-supremacist being a very close second.

Chris Rock - Bigger & Blacker (the G.O.A.T.)
Louis C.K. - Hilarious
Jerry Seinfeld - I'm Telling You For the Last Time
Mitch Hedberg - Strategic Grill Locations (just a hair above Mitch All Together IMO)
Russell Peters - Comedy Now!

Honorable mention:
Pablo Francisco - Bits and Pieces
Jeff Foxworthy - You Might Be a Redneck If...

I can quote about 90% of each of these from memory.

1. Katt Williams
2. Eddie Murphy
3. Mike Epps
4. Dave Chappelle
5.. Gallagher..just kidding, Redd Foxx or Rodney Dangerfield.

Saw mitch in raleigh a couple years before he died. He was fucking hysterical.

On long trips I listen to a lot of stand up. I've got to say Louis CK, Chappelle, and Tosh are probably my favorite.

I find that a lot of comedians (Eddie Murphy especially) you really need to see to get the full effect.
