Thursday's Debate: Discussion Thread

#1, I believe my own eyes and ears. #2, wgaf what Luke Russert or Soledad O'Brien thinks? Maybe we should check in with Lindsay Lohan as well. #3, have never like Gregory, he is a total Washington tool, have not watched one MTP since Tim Russert died.

My point is that far too many people look to CNN to tell them who won. CNN is going to tell them it was a tie, and they should keep watching. Like it or not - and I don't - these people drive opinions.

I'm getting the feeling that Pubs think it's a draw because Ryan didn't make a fool of himself, same standard they held Palin to. Unlike Palin, however, Ryan was expected to win by many of the pundits, so to win, he had to do more than just show up.

Obviously I am biased, but I try to watch things objectively, thus, I said after the first debate that Romney won. But I am stunned that anyone thinks Ryan won this. So far, no one on this thread has said that, just some quotes from tool media people. Is there anyone out here who really thought Ryan won?

More of a prick. The world needs pricks to fuck assholes like Ryan.

Pricks shove the truth in your face in a harsh way.
Assholes just tell you lies and call you dumb if you don't believe them.

hahahhaa, that post got 3 pos reps. You all truly love me deep down. I feel the love and it is graciously accepted, my friends. (drink)

They don't say Ryan won. They say that it was a draw... so Ryan won. How can you not follow along with such stunning logic?

The big bald guy on MSNBC is pretty good.

If memory serves, there were several posters here who were certain that Miami of Ohio was going to run circles around the Vice President. Guess the goal line moved.

Biden was a bully all night and controlled the stage. He was allowed to treat Ryan like Palin deserved to be treated.

all the dems on this thread were talking about how biden was crushing ryan. then the polls come out and say how undecided voters thought it was a draw. it is hilarious how biased people want people to believe their viewpoint is correct even when it isnt. undecided voters according to cnn thought ryan won 48-44. by reading this thread, you would have thought biden won 90-10.

Not to toot my own horn, but I called this back in August

The hell he will. Biden's got a four year head start on you, which is more than he needs. Biden's got friends in every town and village from here to the Sudan, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, you'll never see him again. With any luck, he's won the debate already.

That's what I don't get. Biden was the aggressor tonight, just like Romney last time. Everyone acclaimed Romney the winner. Why not Biden?

Dude. Biden killed this.

Do you have an opinion yourself, or do you just suck at the poll teat? Do you really give a shit what anyone thinks on CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc? If so, sad for you.

Stick up for him - whatever, but that doesn't change the fact that this was not a "rout" tonight except to extreme left wing partisans, which we obviously don't have on this board...
I'm not sure you understood my tone. I was sticking up for you. Whatever.

I don't think Ryan won. I think Biden dictated the pace and gave no ground. I just don't think the red-meat act is going to help him with the undecideds. Biden stopped the bleeding, but I don't see it helping with anyone outside his base. IMO, Ryan hurt himself more than Joe helped himself.

Romney was just putting Obama in his place. Biden was a dick. What's hard to comprehend?

Absolutely. I thought Ryan had substance and made good points. Biden's goal was to try to compensate for how bad Obama was last week and his actions/interruptions went to far and took away from any substance he may have had.
