MBB Game 14: VT Hokies @ LJVM - Saturday Noon - Regional Sports Networks

Great win! The stat that stood out to me was that other than Appleby, the team had only 2 TO’s.

2020-21 NCAA Men's Basketball Thread - Will the Zags Go Unbeaten?

March 23rd is an historic day in NCAA Tournament history. 64 years ago tonight Carolina beat Kansas & Wilt Chamberlain in triple overtime to cap an undefeated championship season. 59 years ago tonight Wake Forest lost to Ohio State its only Final Four in school history. 58 years ago tonight...

    WF at L'ville -- Saturday December 12 - Noon - ACCN

That is the one argument for going for 2...having time to adjust....but I still think almost all coaches would opt to kick in a situation where they were 9 points behind. As Spot said, you don't want to force yourself to have to make a 3rd score until you have to do it. There are probably some...

    WF at L'ville -- Saturday December 12 - Noon - ACCN

This is absolutely correct....and nearly every coach would tell you the same thing. If you are down 15 and score, almost every coach would kick the extra point to make it a one score game. PH has it backwards. You should NEVER go for two when you are 9 points behind.

Official Kendall Hinton NFL Appreciation Thread

LOL. Denver had 6 first downs, 3 points and 112 yards of total offense....and we have a poster complaining about their defense.

    Masters contest

Thanks to Deacon for another great job running these contests. And congratulations to my son Mitchell for his first contest win !!! Was this the first time a father-son duo finished 1-2 in one of these contests? It all came down to Thomas/Ancer vs Rahm/McIlroy. (We both had DJ & Leishman.)...

    WF @ UNCCH Nov. 14, 2020

Depends on what you mean by "worst" loss. If you are just going by the score, the 63-0 loss to Oklahoma in 1974 was probably the largest margin. In my mind, though, the blowouts don't hurt like the ones that got away. One very painful loss was the 1966 Homecoming loss to Clemson. We were...

    WF @ UNCCH Nov. 14, 2020

I'm not sure if it's the UNC-WF scoring record, but we beat the Tar Heels 48-31 on a windy day at Groves in 1968 (year it opened) behind QB Freddie Summers with 632 yards total offense (which I think may still be a WF record). UNC & QB Gayle Bomar had close to 500 yards as well, if I remember...

    Charlie Davis

IMO, that was THE best WF backcourt ever. Also, I think that 1977 team was THE best WF team ever.....better than the 1962 F4 team. The 1977 team had an unbelievable 6-man nucleus of Rod Griffin, Skip Brown, Frank Johnson, Jerry Schellenberg, Leroy McDonald & Larry Harrison. It was 18-2 at one...
