Agreed but it feels like we aren’t built for the really big inning without ever knowing what you are going to get with the 7,8,9 hitters. Doesn’t mean we can’t score runs but that really big inning has eluded us in conference play.

I’m ready for a consistently “really warm” Kurtz. We have seen red hot and ice cold.

Not saying this to be a smart ass but does Hartle come back to Wake next year if things stay about where they are right now? Where would he even be on a draft board? He has been the victim this year of spotty defense and honestly some bad luck but his ERA is 5 plus.

Nick seems to be grounding into that shift a bunch recently.

Midweek games are weird and Wake is coming off 3 very emotional games but when Kurtz doesn’t hit we dont win.
