Thanks. We ended up going with Baker roofing for the leak we had and have been pleased with the repair. FYI for anyone - we would certainly recommend them.

Bump. Can anyone recommend a construction company for renovations? Specifically, one that has experience with older homes. Our home turned 100 this year and we are planning on having the wiring redone. Thinking about looking into an extension and redo of kitchen as well. Also, on the...

    RIP Chris Cornell

Soundgarden/Solo, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog is the order for me. But like ATLdeac and you said, just really enjoyed his voice.

    RIP Chris Cornell

Saw Soundgarden at the Carolina Rebellion a few weeks back. Was a great show. Always liked his music in whichever band he was playing in.

Also going to Big Sky for the first time (and first time out west!) in about a month. Have plane tickets but still planning rest of trip. Any thoughts or recs on where to stay? Or is it basically Mountain Village trumps all? We are planning on renting a car and exploring the surrounding areas...

    Pit Boss Beer Thread

We had a good time trying Highland's stuff but we missed out on the imperial Cold Mountain. The bar wasn't serving it until 5pm and we had to leave for a party before then. Took a growler of the Mandarina with us though.

Thanks y'all. I do like the IPA's so the Mandarina looks tasty. Intrigued by the Black Watch milk stout as well.

Highland brewery is doing a tap takeover in good ole Wiltson tomorrow. They will have 20 brews on tap including the imperial cold mountain. Any others I should definitely try or get a growler of? I'm not super familiar with them. Thanks.

Ok thanks. And yeah, I've got more than enough. My parents had 2 patios that were each bigger than the one I'm thinking about taken up.

I am thinking about having a ~250 sq ft brick patio put in at my house. Going with brick because I can get them from free from my parents (taken up when they remodeled years ago, sitting in stacks since) ... I was quoted at around $1000 for the install. Is this reasonable? I really have no idea...

Harriman and Bear Mountain state parks have some nice hiking and a little zoo. I think Storm King is supposed to be good too but I have not been to it.

    ATP: Kure Beach, NC

Went a couple weekends ago, cool spot but their beers were not super impressive. 2nd shuckin' shack, fat pelican, and brits. We hit those three plus Kate's pancake house for food and drinks. It was my first time spending a weekend in CB but those were all recommendations from my friend who has...

    Provence/French Riviera Tips

GF and I visited France and Italy this past June. Took train from Paris to Aix en Provence and rented a car. Stayed one night in Roumoules at this awesome B&B and then road tripped it to Florence. Catherine was very nice and the castle was really cool to see. All of the breakfast was made by her...

I also see now that I should have search thread titles for Italy in addition to Europe. I see there are a bunch of rec's there. So thanks to all that contributed to those threads if you see this.

Restaurant/bar/non typical cool tourist things to do in Paris? Probably looking for one really nice meal and cool environments more than clubby. We are staying near Porte Saint-Martin for a little over two days. 1 day will be spent doing typical tourist things as my gf has not been before and...

Yeah, that's what I have to figure out. From what I've seen so far, Ventimiglia is a no-go but Genoa would work. Looks like the insane one way renal fee is for crossing the border and/or longer distances.
