No judge is going to have the courage to throw a former President in jail and Trump knows it. $1,000 fine each time will be paid by his rube voters.

Ashley Young did get away with three very questionable calls in the box. But I wouldn't call any of them egregious mistakes. Tough calls.

Ongoing US GOP Debacle Thread: Seditious Republicans march toward authoritarianism

Johnson put forth 3 separate bills (Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan) that more or less mirror the already approved Senate bill. Vote Saturday night. Sounds like the ultra MAGA idiots managed to push Johnson to the middle for a day. Let's see if they end up getting that vote.

I believe that is being trialed this year in MLS starting in June maybe? The off-field treatment rule requires any player who remains down with a suspected injury for at least 15 seconds to be removed from the field by a medical crew and receive treatment on the sideline for a minimum of two...

I agree, but also agree that an indirect FK from inside the box doesn't match the infraction. A throw in/corner and increased cautions for keepers is a reasonable solution. Not sure why the roll out has to take so long though. Trial it next year, roll it out the following year.

That's what I'd tell him if I were Dem leadership - start putting bills up for a vote (starting with Ukraine) and we'll let you keep your position. Stop cooperating and we'll let your right wing lunatics kick you again. Good luck confirming another speaker of the house now that they've lost...

Ongoing US GOP Debacle Thread: Seditious Republicans march toward authoritarianism

I think this is exactly what Dems have been pushing for. If you want to stay in power you're going to need to let them vote on bipartisan bills. Will be interesting to see how this plays out as Johnson would be completely dependant on Dems if he goes along with this. But he'll almost certainly...
