Official 2024 NFL Thread. One more draft day. Which Teams Find Winning "Lottery Tickets? "

Thought Hollywood was on a longer deal. Don't get me wrong, Worthy is good. He's not just fast. Not anti Veach or Reid in any way - just thought it was strange to have their starters this year (with Rice missing some time) to be 2 diminutive really fast guys. I also think Hollywood is going...

I said finally because Love looked like a bust that 1st couple of years, but then the light bulb came on for him last year. But the Rodgers drama and lack of playoff success was my point that drafting Love didn't exactly work out while Rodgers was still there. It's worked out now that Love...

Official 2023-24 NBA Season Thread - Game 3 Tripleheader on ESPN at 5:30

It's their 1st time, and they almost lost that 1st playoff game. Whereas the Wolves appear more mature and ready for the moment. Antman has become a legit stud and is talking trash to Durant. And they have the size to be a problem.

Love finally seems to have been worthy of the pick. But you had a pissed off prima donna starting QB creating a ton of drama in the building and had no subsequent playoff success with said prima donna QB. Rodgers made their lives as miserable as could those last 2 years.

Yeah, but that rando 2nd round Serbian turned out to be the best player in the league, and they might already have had another title or 2 had Murray not been out for the playoffs the prior 2 years. The Lakers have now lost like 10-11 straight to Denver. It's just a bad match-up for them, and...

I didn't get the pick from a KC perspective. They already had the same WR in Hollywood. I thought McConkey or Mitchell would have made more sense. From a Buffalo perspective, I like the trade because you get more draft capital and Mitchell or McConkey with the next pick and maybe Malichi...

2024 Carolina Panthers thread - WR Xavier Leggette (#32), RB Johnathan Brooks (#46), LB Trevin Wallace (#72)

That would make sense. The measurables on most of the day 2 edges aren't that great - a bunch of 250 lb guys running 4.7-8. Mo Kamara (CSU), Brennan Jackson (WSU) and Jalyx Hunt (Houston Christian) are 3 interesting guys in the 4th round range.

He's long gone. I think Pitt takes him or Barton. But there's a good chance Frazier from WVU will be there at 33 and then go WR at 39.

Japan must have a law that all their courses be lush, green and pristine. That's a really pretty tree lined course with mountains in the background where they're playing this week. I also like Wilshire where the women are playing - very old and quirky. The Nawleans Dye course doesn't do a lot...

    Football Deacs in the NFL

Yeah, both Sikkema and Rogers had Mustapha in 5th round range and Carson in 4th round range in their final top 200s.

Not so sure that would be the best thing for Alex. Toiling away for 2-3 years on some of the world's great courses and traveling the world is a great way to start a career. I like building up till he's top 10 over there before coming here, especially because he's from the UK. We've had a...

Why do you say that? He needs to correct a fumbling problem and maybe work on some mechanics, but, as long as he's a hard worker, I see him and Daniels as the surest franchise QBs in this draft.

Cochran is quite the blast from the past. I remember going and watching him win the equivalent of whatever the Korn Ferry was called back in the day at Hillendale CC outside of Baltimore when I was at Wake. As I recall, he's a lefty.

DC, do you think what he went through as a kid was the cause of whatever psychological issues he had?

2024 Carolina Panthers thread - WR Xavier Leggette (#32), RB Johnathan Brooks (#46), LB Trevin Wallace (#72)

Yeah, and he was 1 of those divas in Pittsburgh. But he's talented. Just keep feeding him the ball so he doesn't start acting out. Shouldn't be a problem considering the rest of your WR corps.

I liked and rooted for Duval too and felt bad for him when his game went to shit. And it seemed like he was socially awkward = like he played through agoraphobia or something. It was a strange case of a top player just completely losing his game. Same thing happened with Yani Tseng.

And proceeded to melt down soon after winning his 1st major. There was something wrong with Duval's wiring.

2024 Carolina Panthers thread - WR Xavier Leggette (#32), RB Johnathan Brooks (#46), LB Trevin Wallace (#72)

Yeah, and circumstances matter. Cousins, Bijon, London and a good OL will make whatever WR they draft in round 2 look better than they are. Think they go edge in round 1. They're easily the most improved team in the league, and, with an easy schedule, they could end up being the best...
