Gola was one of the greatest college bball players ever. He was a three time consensus 1st Team All American. He had over 2000 points and over 2000 rebounds in an era when teams didn't play 30-38 games per year. His career rebound rebound record still stands.
He was to Philly basketball what Stan Musial was to St. Louis. A great player and a great guy.
