CBM: X-Men '97 finale; My Adventures with Superman S2 May 25; The Boys S4 June 13

I hated the leather phase of X-Men, though...especially when Grant Morrison adopted it. I was a lot happier when Joss Whedon took over and sort of re-booted the character design in Astonishing. Like BDZ said...super heroes should look like Super Heroes.

OK, so now I'm way more excited about Thor 2 than I thought I'd be. Iron Man 3 is just going to be what is it. Thor 2 and Cap 2 will show if Marvel Studios can keep this going.

I thought Thor was the 2nd best Marvel introduction next to the near perfect Ironman. I also enjoyed the first Capt America movie. Looking forward to the sequels.

But will anybody see Thor and Captain America? Their costumes are absurd.

Haha. Just made the connection that you're the guy making the pro-X-Men uniform argument here and the "too many comic books" cracks on the Boston bomber thread. Yeah, you clearly read more comic books than me.

I guess. I don't know that the mask is any more ridiculous than the hair style. They've more often than not opted to use the Ultimate imprint for character design than the traditional 616 continuity anyway.

Somehow that hairstyle worked on Hugh Jackson. I didn't think it was possible for that to not be ridiculous.

I'm getting hype for all the cape flicks this year. That Thor preview looked solid, the reviews for Iron Man have me pumped, and Man of Steel may actually be good. Could be a strong year.

Agreed. I'm more hyped about all three than I thought. Probably going to see Iron Man 3 Friday morning.

Man, Geoff Johns is doing work on Arrow. Really strong episode tonight...I'm really excited to see what's coming in the final three episodes.

Young Carrie Fisher. Umm.

Damn.

Iron Man has accomplished something not even the entire "Avengers" lineup could - a $195 million opening weekend overseas.

Indeed, "Iron Man 3" grossed just that amount ($195.3 million, to be exact) in its international rollout over the weekend, nearly matching its reported $200 million budget before even hitting the domestic marketplace. That's a bigger opening than last year's "The Avengers," which launched to a measly $185.1 million in its debut weekend overseas, albeit in three fewer markets ("Iron Man 3" hit 42 territories in its first weekend while "The Avengers" opened in 39). Still, it's an impressive debut by any measure, and the film broke records in several territories, including:

- Biggest opening weekend ever in: Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore

- Biggest opening day ever in: Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia

- Biggest Marvel opening weekend in: Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Finland, Hungary, Romania, New Zealand, Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Philippines and Malaysia

(Note: The film has yet to open in several major international markets including China, Russia and Germany.)
