Pro Hoops Deacs - Jaylen Hoard on preliminary Team Olympic roster; Hamby has double-double in Sparks season opener

damn kris dunn really failed to live up to expectations
I did see Kris Dunn pop up on a Spurs site article about three possible backup PGs to replace Primo.

That 2016 class is weird in general. Some guys flashed early promise and then fell off (#1 pick Simmons, ROY Brogdon). Several high picks didn't pan out (Bender, Dunn). But overall it's a deep class. Two All-NBA, six All-Stars, and several high-quality players who will have long careers like Poeltl, Zubac, LeVert.

None of the three players from that class who made First Team All-Rookie (Brogdon, Hield, Simmons) are among the top 6 players from that class today (Ingram, Brown, Jamal Murray, Dejounte Murray, Siakim, Sabonis). The last three didn't even make 2nd Team All-Rookie. The other two spots were Marquese Chriss and Yogi Ferrell.

DC area Deacs should plan a group get together to watch Zeke.

Alondes with 9 pts, 2 reb, 5 ast, 6 to on 4/4 fg in 17 min off the bench in a 135-93 loss.

LaRavia is getting his first minutes a week after not playing the last three games. He has 4 reb at the half.

Those 6 turnovers are going to keep Alondes in the G League, at least for a while.

We'll see. It's his first time playing PG and doing it on a G-League team playing together for the first time. He had 5 ast and nobody else had more than 3.

The Nets started Edmond Sumner at PG today. If Kyrie doesn't come back, Alondes could pick up a few games with the big club.

Your first paragraph is why I said " for a while..." Your second is why that while may be very short.

Chaundee Brown had 15 points for the Austin Spurs last night and 29/10/3 tonight.

Mucius had 2 reb in 8 min for Capital City Go-Go.

Alondes and the Long Island Nets are playing on NBA TV right now. He has 10/2/3 in 19 min on 4/8 fg and 1 to.

Alondes finished with 15/3/6/1 in 36 min on 6/14 fg and 3 to. Good start in his first two games.

Mucius didn't play today for Capital City Go-Go.

Jake is #10 on the NBA Rookie Ladder right behind Sharpe, Sochan, and Eason.

He's having a nice game against the Spurs. Got a good laugh out of this one.

Looking for the sick little layup that inspired this tweet.

And I found this highlight from Monday night.

Oh my god. He just hit a nice little floater.

Alondes had 18/6/4 in 36 min on 4/18 fg with 2 to.

Chaundee Brown has been the leading scorer for the Austin Spurs.

Mucius hasn’t seen the floor for the Capital City Go-Go.

Alondes continues his solid start for the Long Island Nets. He had 19/3/5 on 8/11 fg with 1 stl and 3 to.

Jake hasn’t played much since Jon Konchar came back a few days ago. Jaren Jackson Jr coming back has limited his playing time as well.

Shams article about the Hawks potentially trading JC with CP’s Suns as a possible destination.

“The Hawks have opened up preliminary trade discussions around forward John Collins, as interested teams inquire, league sources tell The Athletic. The Suns are a team showing desire in Collins, those sources have added, but they appear uninclined to take on the long-term money of Collins, who is in the second season of a five-year, $125 million contract. The Hawks don’t have an imminent deal in place involving Collins, those sources say, and executives around the league believe a potential deal will be weeks and potentially months in the making ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline.

Off to a 9-6 start, Atlanta has the ability to be judicious in its approach to discussions from interested parties. So far this season, Collins is averaging 12.6 points (the lowest since his rookie season in 2017-18) and a career-low 22.7 percent 3-point range to go along with 7.7 rebounds per game.”

Does anyone know why CP3 and Ish have not been playing?

Both are injured. Ish is the 3rd or 4th option at PG, so he may not play much when healthy.
