Wake Golf 2024 - Women finish 9th and Men 16th

#9:

A long par 5 with a generous driving area that narrows further down on the right, left center is the ideal position. The second shot is relatively straight forward but the large bunker on the left should be avoided. The elevated, two tiered green makes for a demanding third shot. Avoid going left of the green at all cost.

2 bogies on 9 is really bad. That and the quad made playing 8 in +2 problematic.

There must have been a wind shift or moving tees way back. Looks like 9 played as one of the easiest holes the last two days and it's towards the harder end today.

Tie-breakers and playoffs will be used to determine advancement to the finals (time and weather permitting).

Non-Sudden Death Tiebreakers.
Non-sudden death tiebreaking procedures for the championships are as follows:
• First Tiebreaker – cumulative total of the non-counting scores.
• Second Tiebreaker – cumulative total of the lowest player score from each round.
• Third Tiebreaker – cumulative total of the second lowest player score from each round.
• Fourth Tiebreaker – cumulative total of the third lowest player score from each round.
• Fifth Tiebreaker – cumulative total of the fourth lowest player score from each round.
• Sixth Tiebreaker – revert to original seeding of teams.

Fortunately VIBEZ not factored in here.

If that mean's the non-counting score of today's round, WF looks to have the better score.

If they go straight to the first one there then I believe we win, as BYU went +15 over 3 days for their non-counting score, and we were +12. If it's JUST today's then we would win unless Scotty doubles 18.

Kennon birdie. BYU par.

So now BYU has to birdie and hope Brennan doesn't birdie in order to win outright. It also gives Brennan some breathing room because if he bogeys it doesn't matter.

If it's across all three rounds, BYU is +15 and Wake is +13

I'm pretty sure the tiebreaker goes to sudden death before non-sudden death, but if not then Wake appears to be the winner of non-sudden death

Kennon Birdied and the BYU pared. so +2 is our worst score

And it is our number 1 vs their 1. Wonder if they know the situation.

Brennan has gone par birdie, their guy has gone Eagle par first 2 days.
