The WF men's and women's tennis teams start their seasons this weekend. The men play a double header Saturday and the women do the same on Monday, both at the WF Indoor Tennis Center.
The men are ranked 20 in the first poll of the season, which is really based on results from last year. I expect they'll move up, probably to top 10, and will potentially compete for ACC and national championships. Romain Bogaerts starts the year ranked 12, Jon Ho is 52, and Max Kan is 102. Noah Rubin isn't ranked because he didn't compete in fall NCAA matches, but he is projected as the best newcomer to college tennis in the country. Rubin is one of the most accomplished division 1 tennis recruits in the past several decades.
The women are ranked 60 in the first poll, which like the men is essentially based on results from last year and will change quite a bit in the next month. This team is deep, with really good players at 4-6 in the lineup.
There will be a lot of tennis on Saturday and Monday, and all matches are free and the indoor is a great place to watch.
