I'm just going to assume that you haven't watched either Archie or Lonerdonk coach a game, looked at their recruiting, or read their press coverage.

Anybody know where Hatch is right now? I heard he has a 4pm with a coach prospect. Can't confirm the info.

Yeah he's reclining in Reynolda gardens with some Smart character according to my handy marauders map of the Wake Forest grounds
 
Now that I'm giving in to thoughts that SS isn't even considering Wake, I realize just how optimistic I was feeling earlier. I think I started to believe.

Being a Wake fan is so, so hard.

I don't want to think that "it's going really well" will be right up there with "oh heavens yes".

Guys, keeping the faith isn't easy. That's why it's keeping the faith. Shaka's probably drinking brews with Natty O as I type this, while Maya's surreptitiously scoping out new digs around campus.

I really disagree with this. No only takes a few seconds to say. No. Thanks Ron, I'm not interested.

"Yes" may a lot longer. There would be contract details to be worked out. Remember, all of this is being done second hand. It isn't just Ron calling up Shaka. Wellman's people call Shaka's people and they discuss some stuff. Then it goes back to RW and Shaka. Then another topic gets worked out. This can take a while. Also, there may be some stuff being worked on for Shaka's wife that may involve parties at Wake who usually aren't involved in the basketball coach hiring process.

English department, communications etc. may not be quite used to the urgency seen on the boards about hiring someone to a position.

Remember the old saying "If mama's not happy, nobody's happy."

I will continue to regard no news as good news. If it hasn't been leaked that we are out of the running for Shaka, then we are still in it.
