Holy crap, Im ashamed yet proud of how many times Ive posted on this thread!

Time to bid u a fond farewell till the late morning when hopefully sum news breaks, for better or for worse.
 
Having to wait so long for an answer can't possibly help our situation if that answer is going to be no....the wait could jeopardize our standing with and the availability of other candidates. The longer it takes, the more essential it is that Shaka makes the leap. Come on, Shaka. Say yes or cut us loose! I'm hoping Wellman felt positively about our chances if he agreed to giving him all this time. Of course, maybe there is lots of back and forth happening between Ron's guys and Shaka's guys.
 
Very true. It's time to shit or get off the pot. Saying that I think Tuesday has to be the absolute deadline if we are waiting on him. He has had all weekend to make the decision and like you said we have got to make our move pretty soon or we could very well lose out on some good candidates.

Marquette officials met Sunday with Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin, and there is significant interest from the Golden Eagles in hiring Martin away from the Vols, multiple sources told ESPN.com.

Sources told ESPN.com that discussions are underway between the two parties, but Tennessee still has an opportunity to keep Martin.

Just posting on this thread because I haven't done so yet. Kyle Reifers finished T3 at the Web.com tourney yesterday (his second third-place finish of the season). Also, Opening Day! I know nothing about the coach search, sad to say.

On one end there's Wake, on the opposite side of the spectrum there's Marquette. Not a peep from one, constant chatter with the other.
 
Not sure if this has been mentioned in the pages I've skipped. Shaka lost his top assistant to Rice 5 days ago and there has been no word about a replacement.
 
There was a discussion about it. No consensus on what it means. Some thought it meant he told them he was leaving so pursue other options... Some thought that it meant he told this guy (heir apparent) that he was staying so pursue other options...some thought it has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Pretty much like this whole thread, no one knows anything. Jesus I am ready for this to end.

Coaching searches are some of the most fun, exciting frustrating, drive you crazy, roller coaster times to be a fan...especially with the complete radio silence that typically engulfs Wake Forest coaching searches.

If anyone sees any posts that are blatant troll jobs or AF jokes on either of the threads, shoot us a PM. We try to keep tabs on stuff, but occasionally we wont see it. We stand by our stance of off hand moderating most of the time, but we're all in agreement that tomorrow will be the exception due to the delicacy of the situation.
 
When would be the best day to announce a big hire based on max media coverage. It's a dead zone until Saturday for college hoops. Other than the coaching caroisel
