Favorite single play of All Time for you

Kirk Gibson, 1988. Home run in the bottom of the ninth off Eckersley to win the game. He hobbled around the bases. More memorable because Vin Scully was calling the series.

Definitely one of those moments - was driving back from watching Wake beat Maryland in football and listening to the game on the radio. That was one hell of a football game that day too.

10/15/1988 @ Maryland W 27-24

David Justice's homer against the Indians in the '95 Series comes to mind. Tiger's chip in was incredible. Surprised the Music City Miracle hasn't been mentioned.

Josh Howard throwing down a nasty dunk in Raleigh to ice the ACC regular season was awesome. The game had to be stopped for quite a while because State fans were so upset with the refs that cups/ice/etc were raining down onto the court. J-HO also throwing the ball off Shav Randolph's face to keep possession was hilarious and awesome. Idlette's block against GT in the championship was so cool. I was one of the few people who didn't even watch what happened on the play for some reason and focused on the block happening right in front of me.

Chalmers versus Memphis. Amazing play and won me some money (after OT).

HA! I lost $800 when he made that damn shot...well I would have made $800.

"Gets bye Buckner!!" or "Do you believe in miracles....YES!!!"

My assistants grandfather was the umpire behind the plate. Interestingly you can see when Gibson hits the ball the lights on cars (breaks) go on in the parking lot as the call is made.

Wake play: John Buck's breakaway dunk against Duke (or was it Carolina?)

I think John Buck's dunk was against UVAgina.

Outside of the obvious ones mentioned already, my favorite play was Richard Belton's 2nd effort TD on 4th and Goal at UMD for the division in 2006. That was one of the few times I remember Grobe really going for the jugular.

College hoops: Chill's teardrop - I was also there

Pro hoops: Dr J's reverse lay-up against the Lakers

Pro football: Ray Lewis' block on McAlister's FG return

Hockey: Eruzione's game winner

Golf: Not a Bubba fan, but his 50 yard hooked wedge from jail in the playoff - beating out Shrek's double eagle on 2 earlier

Baseball: Eddie Murray's 2 HRs in the last game of the 1983 World Series as the Phillie fans were derisively chanting "Eddie, Eddie"
