Official 2014-15 Charlotte Hornets Thread

About ready for the wrecking ball. Gotta have a BIGGER scoreboard!

Really just a 1% per year investment on renovation costs to keep the building competitive.

Original cost was $260 million. Ten years later you're paying 8.8% of that for renovations.

Now if this were the ATL, that building would be coming down.

Either trade up or trade down. Nobody available at #9 is going to do shit to help this team in the short term.

Not as much as not pulling the trigger on the CP3 deal and instead ending up with RayRayGuns and the Hamburgler.

Yep. Davis was just bad luck. Missing out on CP was a string of disasters: "winning" the final game of the season because the Pistons rested everybody, losing the coin flip, declining the offer to trade #5 & #13 to move up. New Orleans was the beneficiary both times.

Was that really a trade that was offered or just something we think they should have done?

Davis was bad luck, but it came during an obvious "blow everything up" year to bottom out. Now we've built this mediocre team in no man's land again that isn't a contender but isn't so terrible that they have a chance at landing a superstar in the draft and don't have any real "assets" as far as I'm concerned. With Davis they'd at least have the piece to build around.

Meh.... League manufactured luck

I hope vonleh sucks

Is Portland prepping to lose LA?

Sounds like it but they're claiming otherwise. Seems like a "blow it up" kind of move.

@WojYahooNBA
Y! Sources: Charlotte's shopping Cody Zeller hard for wing players. If Zeller gets moved, Frank Kaminsky will be serious candidate at No. 9.

I don't get that trade at all. They specifically picked Vonleh as a long term pick last year, when he happened to fall to them unexpectedly, then dump him for a fungible bum like Batum? And they trade Henderson after trading Lance but before the draft not knowing if they'll get a scoring SG? And why the fuck would you trade Vonleh if you are shopping Zeller? This makes absolutely zero sense. Fucking Cho.

That Zeller tweet was before the Vonleh trade. Zeller is staying put, basically sounds like they have picked him over Vonleh and will go with BPA in the draft between a big and a wing/shooter. Disagree with you completely on Batum. When healthy he's a really good player. Like that pickup a lot for them especially if he regains his shooting touch from two seasons ago.
