In sales, we call this happy ears. You hear what you want to hear rather than listen to what the customer is actually saying.
Or was anyway. He's still in charge and there's been a 180 degree shift in approach.
At least it appears he can admit when he fucked up (in action, if not in words) and is letting Manning do his thing. I'm no fan of DC sports but it's much worse to be in a Dan Schneider situation when an owner/AD relentlessly imposes his own outdated and simplistic planning over modern, successful coaches.
This is part of the small time angle for me. Wake sources cannot be trusted in situations like this.
Gee, ya think? So many incredibly dumb anti-Duke/K arguments on this thread. In sales, we call this happy ears. You hear what you want to hear rather than listen to what the customer is actually saying.

Obviously should have learned when super premium chats had me thinking Donovan when reality gave me [name redacted]

we have no insiders
Yep. Yet I got sucked into KVegas' posts even though there were the same telltale signs of Wake homerism.
Les Johns isn't hearing what the BSD guys are reporting.
Still is. Even if he's letting Manning do his thing, it's a hole Manning will have a tough time getting out of because Wellman should have never created that hole.
whoa rivals les is old as shit
Fair point. While I think the wide ranging criticism of Wellman is often laughable on this board, I do think naming [Redacted] an unforgivable error is a fair position. I don't often buy into the LOWF argument but not replacing him after that debacle does reek of desperation. Very few schools who value their major athletic programs would have stood for it.
