2016 Football Recruiting Thread - Notes from NSD Press Conference and Reception

Maybe it's a Georgia thing.
I live in N GA and 3 teams are having mini playoffs right now.
First 2 teams play, winner plays team 3 and that winner goes to the playoffs.
Better than a coin toss to determine who goes on and who stays home.

Short update to say Essang Bassey and Columbus are participating in one of the oddest/coolest things I've ever heard of in high school football. A mini-playoffs to decide which team gets the final playoff spot (rather than flipping a coin):

Cade Carney and Brandon Chapman tweeted that they signed with Wake today. These were undoubtedly financial aid agreements (as opposed to Letters of Intent). Hopefully we will confirm a few others as well.

Here is a good article about the season that Jacquez Williams is having, and the huge game that he had last weekend (244 yards and 2 TDs rushing, and 115 yards and 2 TDs receiving) http://savannahnow.com/sports/2015-11-09/williams-scores-four-tds-liberty-win

I think Jacquez actually plays baseball too. Is there a chance that he could be a two way guy?

I think both of these guys are going to be real players for us.
Will be nice for them to get an early start.

Just a follow-up to say Bassey and Columbus got into the playoffs and will play the #1 team in the State on Friday, 10-0 Stockbridge.

Cade Carney's stats for last game were finally posted. 17 rushes for 115 yards and 2 TDs. Also caught 3 passes for 83 yards and a TD, and had 108 yards in kickoff returns.

Cade is a guy I've loosely followed over the course of his career. He's the only Back we've signed over the last few years that I feel like is a can't miss. I'm not expecting him to come in and be an all ACC guy his first couple of years on campus, but folks will be pleasantly surprised with how ready he is for the College pace. He's one of the hardest working guys out there too. Great get for the Deacs!

I just saw a random NLI (or whatever document) signing photo on facebook of Carney with my next door neighbor from growing up. Weird.

Outstanding performances by Carney and Wakefield !!!

Wakefield just decommitted.

This is insult to injury like the Iona game to the last time we played at ND.

Very weak to do it during a game.
