Republicans for POTUS, 2016 Edition

Can't see Trump, Cruz, Rubio, or Jeb getting out until after SC. One of Kasich or Christie may still be in too if they do well in NH. Likely a three person field through the SEC primary unless Trump craters or Jeb surges. Rubio's probably best positioned for the long haul, but weasel/cockroach Cruz is not yet in a terrible position.

I think either Kasich or Christie is out after nh. Looking like irbid going to be Christie. Can't finish at the bottom in the first two contests without a significant war chest, and he doesn't have it.

He may not have a significant chest but I'm sure he has the stomach for a tough fight.

Christie Describes ISIS As Grave, Towering, Meaty Threat To U.S. While Staring At Diner Patron’s Corned Beef Sandwich

DURHAM, NH—Delivering an impassioned statement Friday during a campaign stop at Lou’s Diner, Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie reportedly described the jihadist militant group ISIS as a “grave, towering, meaty threat” to the United States while staring intently at a customer’s corned beef sandwich. “They are a violent, hateful, mouthwateringly delicious force that’s stacked high throughout the Middle East,” said Christie, licking his lips and promising the restaurant patron that the savage, savory extremists “wouldn’t last 30 seconds” under his administration. “These salt-cured, thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth radicals want nothing more than to force the world to live under strict, melty Swiss cheese. Well, let me tell you: When I’m president, I won’t stop until we get those thick-cut rye bread fundamentalists in our hands, squeeze them down, and finish off every last brutal, succulent morsel of that delectable menace, reducing their terror network to crumbs.” At press time, Christie was explaining that to truly demolish the ruthless, juicy Islamic fundamentalists, he would seek to enlist the help of the Russian dressing.

I would like candidates on either side to explain why it is necessary to spend more on national defense than we did during the Cold War. What makes the Islamic fundamentalists are greater menace than the Soviet Union?

Why Rand Paul never got traction.

Right now, people don't want liberty. They may want a sense of freedom for themselves, but aren't willing to endure their neighbor's freedom. Modern Americans will sacrifice their own rights to wield control over others. If you doubt that, attend your town's next planning commission meeting. For freedom to reign, the culture must change, and a political campaign is not going to do that.

It's really comical that the Pubs and their tea party followers can't wait to go to war again when the majority of the country still doesn't have the stomach for it.

How many wars has Hillary voted against?

Dude, you kill me the way you bounce all over the board because your precious Howard Dean was done wrong in your eyes and apparently the country went down the shitter. Life goes on and you need to move on as time ain't going backwards.

Hillary was all for going into Libya. How is that scene working out for the Libyans?

I heard an administration official on PBS two days ago talk about helping our Baltic allies. Why are they allies? What do they bring to the relationship? How is our national security threatened by moves the Russians make in that area? These are questions the moderators will not ask any of the candidates. I would like to see a debate hosted by the editors of Mothers Jones, the Nation, Reason and Lew Rockwell. I would watch that.

I appreciate your commentary, but I missed your answer to my question.
