Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest Game Thread - 6:30 ESPNU

We can rag on talent but there at least four players who could get a chance at the NBA.
 
Buzz helped himself a lot with two transfers in Seth Allen and LeDay. Also, They have a very athletic roster. Who do we have that is athletic and shoots like Biggs?

One thing about the talent that we do have is that it is concentrated in similar-ish skillsets.

Ph brings up a good point, too. I was willing to give Manning the benefit of the doubt before we started losing like [Redacted]'s teams used to lose. I could live with 16 wins, but 11-17 is unacceptable.

I know it's not "how things are done" (whatever that means), but next year needs to be a tourney or pink slip season for Manning and his staff. Enough is enough.

Fair enough.

But like juicecrew said... hey, we have no 2 or 3 and play bad team defense but we should have won 8 ACC games if we were just coached better! I can't buy into that fully.

I think the talent issue is bigger, but yes: 11-17 is awful and if we don't make huge strides next year we will probably be looking for another coach.

Though overall, wellman/admin is the big roadblock to anything positive.
 
We are the most un clutch team ever. When it gets to crunch time, we have nobody that wants to respond. Other teams have guys to do it, we don't. If Manning can't put a better product on the floor next year with Crawford, Moore, and Collins and supposedly good shooters coming in, he needs to be shown the door. We get out hustled, out coached, and just outplayed by all the other ACC teams not named Boston College. Buzz Williams has done a very good job with the Hokies this year, sure wish we'd have hired him.

Cornelius Hudson was as athletic and Dinos was supposed to be able to (and can) shoot. Enough of the excuses. Our 2015 class has the potential to be special and we came into the season with two seniors and two returning role players. That's enough to not go 11-18. I don't care if we don't make the tourney. I wasn't expecting to when this year started, but this season has been pathetic.

Buzz took over the VT roster the same time as Manning. Weak, lame excuse.
 
Call me crazy, but I feel like after this almost win we have MOMENTUM on our side going into the tourney and I'm predicting BIG THINGS. Maybe not a win against State but another close loss. Heard it here first. It's time to Wake the Nation!
