Official '15-16 NBA Season Thread: THEY WON ONE FOR THE LAND

It pains me that Dahtay Jones is still earning coin in the NBA. I was really hoping he'd be six years in to his Tel Aviv run by now.

Yo Ph, dahntay jones used to come down to ncssm and run pick up games with duhon

He dunked on us a lot

Nice. I used to play pick up every evening after dinner. One of the few times I didn't, Grant Hill came by and played. Everybody came back talking about it. I was pissed.

Vogel's a bit overrated. Bird was probably tired of watching the ugliest basketball in the NBA

The question is will teams dismiss Denzel Valentine's non-stellar of "measurables" like they did with Draymond. I would not be surprised for the Spurs to trade up to get him like they did with Kawhi. Something like their 1st and Green or that and something else to move up to 9-15 to get him.

LOL.

The Spurs don't strike me as the type of team that would overreact to one awful offensive season by Green. He's still one of the best (if not the best) defensive SG's in the league and you've got to figure he's not going to shoot 33% from 3 again. I'm not sure the Spurs would trade Green straight up for Valentine, much less give up a first round pick along with him.

Green is not maybe the best defensive SG in the league. Give me Butler, Klay, and Tony Allen over Green.

Yeah. At worse Green is a 4th or 5th option and an elite defender at SG. He'll play out his current contract with the Spurs unless cap room is needed to sign a max player like Durant.

The laugh is on you. It's not about overreacting to an off year by Green. It's getting a player who is as good now AND clearing $11M from their cap. Valentine is as good a 3 point shooter as Green, a better passer, a better rebounder and an excellent defender as well as being a superior leader. He can also play PG which will be a need very shortly.

The laugh is on you for thinking so superficially.

Valentine also looks like Green's mutant brother so that's cool too.
