Official '15-16 NBA Season Thread: THEY WON ONE FOR THE LAND

would you have been happier if they lost in the next round as a lower seeded team with out home court?

Well yeah. It's usually better to play to seed in the postseason. I wish Wake had lost to Louisville in the Sweet Sixteen instead of Cleveland St.

in how many of their 5 championship seasons did they have the best record in basketball?

Well, I said they were much more successful - 5 championships to one. The point was, with their perennial regular season dominance, they could have been expected to win even more. And I know they were SO close to winning a couple more. IIRC, they said this is 4 out of the last 8 years they have lost to a lower seeded team with home court advantage. That is disappointing. I guess I am just sad and frustrated.

what the fuck are you talking about

god, spursdonks are the fucking worst

so 40% of their championships they overperformed their seed to win it all. how many times did they have the best record in basketball and not get the championship?

by my count it is 2 times they had the top record and failed to capture the title in tim's career. so 2 times they overprformed to win it all and 2 times underperformed not winning it all. i think most franchises would take that.

Interested to see if Warriors stay big or play a lot of death line up which will get destroyed on the glass.
I have a feeling that Draymond, by himself, will do a better job keeping OKC off the glass than the Spurs were able to do.

i'm hoping the rest will also put some spring back in to bogut's step. festus is playing like a man inspired, but his biggest strength is defs not holding down the glass.

or put it this way: either barnes is playing the 3 and bogut/festus is at the 5 matching up against adams/kanter or draymond is guarding adams/kanter and barnes guards ibaka. either way i'm less worried about stretching out whoever is guarding ibaka being away from the basket than i am the okc bigs just doing work.

Right, but I was just responding to the idea that DreamOn, "by himself", will make up the rebounding difference.

DreamOn, DreamOn, DreamOn Green until your dreams come trueeeee!
