BBall Recruiting Thread 2k17-Chaundee Brown commits to WAKE! Brandon Randolph to AZ

Omer Yurtseven 6.11 2016 center from Turkey mentioned by Acc Sports Journal considered a great prospect being recruited by blue bloods

He's deciding by the 18th. Believed to be down to NCSU and Cuse. Not sure where that guy is getting his "blue bloods" info. Could go either way, State has a starting spot available, Cuse has a better program/coach but less PT. We will see what happens by the end of next week.

Sorry I ever mentioned the Turk. Brick listed Duke, Unc and State. So complain to him about it.

There are hot women from Turkey and Greece.

Bruno Fernado will do another year of prep school at Monteverde. He is expected to reopen his recruitment.

Are we after him hard?

The last time I saw Kostas mention Wake was in January. He did not list Wake as either a school recruiting him or one of the schools he wanted to visit in the lists released in April.

Anyway that Yurtseven dude is going to State.

Dude had 91 pts, 28 boards in a U18 game for Turkey this weekend.

Five-star center Omer Yurtseven scored 91 points and grabbed 28 rebounds during a Turkish U-18 basketball game on Sunday.
The 17-year-old from Istanbul, who plays for Fenerbahce, accomplished the feat against 9 Eylul Basketbol Ihtisas, hitting 34 of 49 shots, including five from three-point range.
Yurtseven’s 49 shots were just under 70% of those taken by his entire team during the 115–82 victory.
The 6’11, 230-pounder has spent time with Fenerbahce’s senior team in the past and is one of seven centers in the class of 2016 given a five-star rating, according to Scout.com.

Obviously the best player on his team. Seems to be somewhat of a black hole. His team mate was shocked at getting the one pass I saw him make.

Why are we talking about State recruits?

Also, mods: can y'all please remove those posts about Turkey, Turkish women, and Turkish athletes? That stuff doesn't belong on this thread (or this board).

Apparently we were interested at one point. We will face this kid twice so it's relevant.

Dude. Chill. Twitter quips from the Republican nominee for President are way more offensive than anything said here about Turkish people, food, women or athletes.

Greeks, on the other hand, are a lazy, ugly, and generally biracial people. Have been since the era of the toga. We should probably remove all the stuff said about those people, the Greeks. Though true, it is highly offensive. Nice beaches though. And olives.

DSJ, Rowan, Dorn, Henderson, Abu, Yurtseven is a pretty interesting top 6. Not much depth but some potential on that squad.

Anya as well, who at worst is a more than serviceable backup Center. Abu still isn't a sure thing to come bet, but I actually think the Yurtseven news helps him, as he knows he will get to play the 4. Freeman is up in the air with his health (may want to actually redshirt him) and we will be adding at least another forward to the team from what we have heard. I'm worried about finding a backup PG but in all reality we are screwed if DSJ goes down anyway.
