Then what good news did Wake basketball receive?

If it's just about getting on some lists and folks are paying for that service then lol. Y'all should be paying Ranger.

Probably depends on what you're looking for. I've covered Wake for the last two years at Rival's Deacon Illustrated site and just took over the Scout site and rebranded it as Demon Deacon Digest. I cover the hell out of the actual teams (football, basketball, baseball and even tennis, soccer and women's basketball at times). Scout has a tremendous network of national and regional recruiting analysts, and I oft-times get good info from """"""sources"""". I work my ass off, and I love doing it.

Most folks love my work, but there may be some who don't. We've got a deal that legit ends at midnight tonight. Pop over, take a look and see if you're interested. I've also got a story on there that tells a little about myself and what I plan to do with the site from yesterday, as it was my birthday and I felt like writing a little about myself for once.
 
I respect the work Les and others do. I read threads and such here obviously. I just tire of good news on the web that doesn't translate on the field or court. We've gotten so bad that it's just tough to get excited.

Thanks, Ph. I posted an update on basketball recruiting yesterday, but I don't think it really relayed anything overly optimistic. Overall sentiment seems to be that Manning and his staff are getting in on top guys and finding them early, but haven't seemed to be able to reel them in. Now that being said, the Collins-Moore-Bryant class has a ton of potential, and just the vast amount of shooters added this year is intriguing. Can they get over the hump in the W-L column, however, without snagging at least one Top-25 type guy, because it certainly doesn't look promising for that right now?
 
Last year's ACC slate was so disappointing because two seniors and 3 promising freshmen should net more than 2 wins. And one senior didn't even play in one of those wins. It's hard to get excited about Manning on the court.
 
Not a good start if we want to try and get a top 25-30 kid because Wertz is nowhere near that category. My brother lives in Charlotte and has seen him many times, says he is a GREAT kid but more a Richmond, Old Dominion, and Charlotte level player (although that is where we are right now too)

He plays basketball not golf... Reminds me of Dwayne Wade a little. Badass, dude is going to be a beast for us over the next few years.

Funny, I remember "poor man" D-Wade comparisons for CMM when he bulked up, too.

I care more about his decision-making than anything else when it comes to Craw.
