2017 Football Recruiting

Welcome Mike. Congrats to the staff, and all the Deacons that helped along the way.
 
Hopefully YIA is prepping a long "In your face" list.
 
Hopefully, today's news will trickle down and across the recruiting landscape as a huge victory for Wake Forest, add credibility to the staff and continue to build momentum for the future!
 
Somewhat of a tangent from the Allen news, but I'm ready to declare that the winner of the Rivals (Mike Singer) versus Scout (Les Johns) competition is Wake fans. Coverage of both recruiting (Mike and Les) and the start of football camp (Les) has been simply outstanding. From a subscription-based website perspective I don't think Wake fans have ever had it this good. They seem to be pushing each other to produce more and better content. Really fantastic.
 
In YOUR FACE Alabama, Arkansas, Charlotte, Colorado, Colorado State, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Missouri, N.C. Gotta hope Clawson is not like Ron Zook where he can recruit his brains out but not coach his way out of a paper bag.

Clawson's track record looks solid, but the competition is a lot better here rather than the MAC.
 
Great job of closing by the Clawson team! This is why he just has to be a success here. He has the capability to recruit -- to Wake -- at a high level. I much prefer this kind of program building over a "smoke & mirrors" scheming type of improvement.

What a get by Coach Clawson and staff...Dare I say a move like this shows the program may be turning the corner???

How the heck is he not a 4 Star?! Duke is still ahead of us by about 8-10 spots but our star avg is 2.67 vs their 2.65. This commit is huge in getting us up more in the range of where we need to be to compete in the ACC, IMO. (Duke has one 4 Star)
 
It's like the equivalent of finally winning one of those ridiculous lists on the bball recruit thread that we are included in.
