Syracuse @ Wake Forest 10/8: 7pm, RSN

One of my favorite moments was when we stuffed moe Neal behind the line. Seems like a nice kid, but kind of nice after he chose cuse over us last year. Payback.

He'd be third string here. Amazing how good our depth is at RB

Plus they burned his redshirt season for no good reason.

Was rather funny hearing the student section yelling at him. "Hey Moe, should have come to Wake".

Seems like we had more 2nd and shorts than we've had in a long time.

Not sure if this has been mentioned. Wake scored more points than unc, state, and dook combined yesterday. I doubt that has happened very often.

There was a play yesterday where Syracuse guy was on the ground, grabbing hold of Carney's ankle. Carney one hopped on the other leg and drug the guy another yard or two with just one leg. I recall we were on about our 25. Does anybody have video or image of that?

One of the things that stood out to me yesterday is how sure our defense is in tackling. The strength gains they made in the offseason really show up when we meet RBs at the line, even if all we get on them are arms. They used to run right through us and Janvion would make a ton of tackles in the second level. Really impressive.

There is a lot of ignorance in those comments about what a game played in the rain looks like. I guess playing in an indoor stadium induces that kind of poor thinking.

Yeah we had a couple of world class Syracuse loser excuse makers sitting a few rows behind us. I'll take the rednecks from Raleigh or Clemson anyday over the Yankee Syracuse fans.

No, but as I recall, it was late in the 4th quarter when we were trying to get a 1st down and run out the clock. I think it was before the game got out of hand, so maybe still 14-9 at the time?

Wasn't that the run from the 2 to about the 7 yard line?

Watching the replay. Colburn looked like he rolled over the defender and got the ball over the goal line in the first quarter where we failed to score and Wolford might have gotten over the line before he fumbled too on the 4th down play.

This one is awesome, Bob!

It was very difficult to tell on the replay. Because the refs called it a fumble, the call stood.
