If you or I can walk into that bakery and buy a "custom" wedding cake for our heterosexual wedding, it should be illegal not to sell the "custom" or any other kind of cake to the gay couple.

What if it was a black owned business and representatives of the KKK wanted a cake customized to their liking. Should that business be forced to provide the cake that they want?

The US is not a theocracy. Our laws should never give preference to any specific religion. It's just that simple.

Why do you accuse me of that? Typical left BS. i am a business owner, unlike you, and though she isn't currently, I had a lesbian as my general manager for five years. You just have your ideas and anybody who wants to engage in debate is automatically labeled. Typical left BS. My questions are legitimate. You want to have laws, but you don't want to think them through. You just want them to fit what you define as right.

You're comparing a dedicated hate group to persons who are simply attracted to the same sex. Can I buy a surface to air missile launcher? If I can buy a gun, why can't I buy any weapon I desire?

Wrong again...about basically everything in your post. I've owned businesses. Helped others start and staff them. Owned them in different countries.

You had a lesbian employee. Do you have a black friend, too?

The Bible being used to justify legalizing discrimination against gays and gay couples is the same one that was used to justify slavery. It's the same Bible that was used to justify no blacks in community swimming pools, Woolworth's lunch counters, interracial marriage.

It's the same reasoning and is wrong today just like it was wrong before.

Last I checked, if LGBTQ Americans are actually citizens, they are entitled to the same rights as any other American - right to vote, freedom of religion (although not afforded to conservative Christians by folks on the left like you), right to bear arms, etc . However, I do not consider it a right of citizenship to have access to restrooms. Some places require you buy something, others require you to pay for access. There is nothing wrong with that because restrooms are a service provided not an inalienable right.

All employees are subject to losing their jobs as employment is not a right. Business owners fail to promote or fire employees all the time for reasons that have nothing to do with LGBT affiliation. So again, LGBTQ citizens have the same right to lose their job as any other citizen.

At least I directly answer questions no matter how inane and limited in their scope they may be postured
 
Yes, a wedding band should have to play a gay wedding and a bakery should have to bake a gay wedding cake. The right of operating a business includes the recognition that you can't deny service to someone based on their legal sexual preference. Comparing that to KKK hatespeech is asanine.

What's inane is your answer. You CAN be fired for being gay. You can't be fired for being Christian or being straight. So, no they don't have the same rights as you and me.

BTW, I said nothing about bathrooms.

As to the highlighted section, that is total bullshit. I will fight for your right to your religion all day as long as you don't hide behind that religion to deny others the same rights you have...like getting married or buying a cake.

Think through this a bit more... are Muslim vows to eliminate non-Muslims any more justified than the KKK against minorities? By extension, is the rancor of various groups on the left against the vile, in their minds, right wing conservative Christians any more acceptable? Don't these all have at their cores intolerance, discrimination, uncompromising positions, and hate?

Let's see how honest you, RJ, and other members on the left really are...

Naive left point of view...do you think anyone gives a real reason for your not being hired, not promoted or hired? As being straight and Christian, I just have less options to try to fight it in court.

And as always, when given a direct answer that you can't refute, you attempt to move the argument to something you think you can defend thereby avoiding direct response to defend indefensible positions
