Totally Unofficial Soccer Transfer Thread (NWT)

I'm really hoping Spurs get the Sanchez deal over the line. He's a fucking nasty bastard, and god knows I like nasty bastards in the center of defense. Spurs struggled badly last year when Alderweireld was injured, and he can't play close to 50 matches a season (and there's a chance that next year is his last year at Spurs anyways). A young thumper in the heart of defense is something Spurs need.

Various sources making claims about Spurs signing Devinson Sanchez and Celta Vigo MF Pape Cheikh Diop. We'll see.

Sounds like Sanchez has agreed personal terms, wants to play for Pochettino, but Ajax holding out for larger fee.

Interesting situation with Aurier and Spurs

"Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign right-back Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain, but must wait on a court ruling before they can complete the deal, according to L’Equipe.

The 24-year-old, tipped to replace Kyle Walker, is currently banned from entering the UK after being given a two-year suspended sentence for attacking a police officer in 2016.

The Ivory Coast international has appealed, but the outcome may not be known before the transfer window shuts."

Juventus are lining up a surprise move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, reports The Sun.

Fulham have signed Sheyi Ojo on a season-long loan from Liverpool

Gylfi passed his medical, so that should be officially wrapped up soon

So if Serge Aurier doesn't have to go to jail (he's currently appealing a conviction for punching a police officer), sounds like Spurs will sign him. Uggggggggggggh. I really don't want him anywhere near Spurs, no matter his obscene talent.

Matuidi is already gone to Juventus, 3 year deal.

God dammit. Didn't know it was official yet. Would have loved to have hijacked that one. Rate him like I did Lacazette out of Ligue 1.

Yeah, he's a fantastic player. Older, so no real long term value - but that's Juventus sweet spot. They love to squeeze 2-3 years out of 30 year olds.

Rose on the left, Aurier on the right. Two starting FBs who have no problem talking shit about their own club.

I was in a similar boat when MUFC were linked with him.

Plus, he's a bit lazy. Bad trait for a footballer, worse trait for a defender.
