And he actual question was, "You don't work here do you ?" Really, what gave it away ? You're at an auto dealership and I didn't descend on you like a ravenous vulture within three seconds of noticing your arrival on the property ?

Yeah, we're fucked. I don't see how they re-open campus to students until 2021 at the earliest, but what do I know. I'd say maybe we (staff) could get back in the fall, but they won't want to hire housekeepers and other campus folks if they can get away with it.

But I think we're all probably due for a second wave/spike after these reopenings. Maybe not, though, maybe the light and heat will kill it.

will be interesting to see how colleges and students handle decisions around the high school class of 2020

Yeah, my nephew is all set to go to the G, but I don't know what the deal is. He doesn't even want to stay there more than a year at this point (I think he'll probably change his mind and hang there), because he wants to get to School of the Arts, but that is also probably not happening. I wonder if he's thinking of taking a year, or trying to do a year at Forsyth, or something. Would be weird. Although, I would have definitely benefited from a gap year in hindsight.

a gap year is a lot harder when there aren't jobs or travel opportunities

my sister is a high school junior and worrying about the impact of a delayed freshman class on her chances of getting in to some of her more ambitious school choices

My grand-nephew will be applying next fall. It looks kinda scary. I wonder what acceptance criteria top schools will be looking at next year. It seems like it might a be a crap shoot. He has an eclectic list at this point.

He did prove his familial ties when they visited Rice a few months ago. I asked him why Texas. He said it was a good school. I pressed him. It the school and the BBQ.

We don't need no stinkin' DNA test. That's indisputable proof.

My job duties today are to come up with some hot shit for a class of '70 playlist. V stressful, as you can imagine. But I'm fighting through it to bring the HOT SHIT.

Thus fulfilling my dream/prediction/destiny of being required to jam out to Creedence for work.
