Official 2022-23 College Basketball Thread: UCONN - One Shining Moment

N. Kentucky had EVERY chance in the world to be leading this game. Just jacking up horrible 3-point shots is not a strategy.

Listing all the horrible stats for UNCA against UCLA, all I could think of was "and yet they are still in better position than we were against Butler". I really want some new NCAA tournament memories.

three pointer clank three pointer clank three pointer clank

The white kid for N. Kentucky must be about 1-25 from 3-point land. Dude simply cannot throw one in the damn ocean.

Meh ? They could have won this game with a decent shooting performance.

I’m tied for #1 in the OGBoards group. I only missed UVa and Arizona. Doubt that’s ever happened or at least it’s been a long time.

These games are so much more physical than anything I saw in the ACC this year.
Yeah lack of physicality has been an issue in the ACC for a few years now. It also seems like there is a tighter whistle in the ACC than there is in other conferences. Probably like the holding mentality in football ("they can't call it every time, so keep doing it").

It also reinforces (to me) the need for a C that can be a presence on the defensive end.

Not that we were good enough to make the NCAAs this season (at least not at the end of the year), but we'd have gotten smoked by most of these teams that play actual, physical defense.

0-2 on wagers yesterday and my bracket was awful.

So I'm doing something hella dumb and going with a ML parlay of Creighton, Kentucky, and St. Mary's.

No chance any of them lose, right?

Also took Kent State +4.5.

There will undoubtedly be more. Scared money don't make money and 0-2 is just a rough, rough start.
